How dumbed down is the anime version compared to the original VN?

Finished 5 routes and I have never felt so disinterested in and unmoved by a VN. I feel strongly encouraged to find an mp3 of the monty python line "GET ON WITH IT!" and then just set it on repeat.

Why did I listen to the recommendations to play this?

What (if any) graphical differences are there between Original CLANNAD and the FULL VOICE version?

So I was wondering if I was the only one with this problem.

Whenever I try to play Clannad, it freezes after choosing whichever option from the menu - it happens while using either translated or untranslated SEEN.txt. google haven't heard a shit about it, what is kinda unexpected.

operating sys is vista and unfortunately it has to stay even though I loved xp.

So I've pretty much finished playing Clannad, and needless to say, I liked it a lot. Can /jp/ recommend me any other Comedy VNs like this that I could play?
