ZUN will make Touhou games as long he wants. He'll make them if the fanbase is small as fuck or huge as fuck. Just like >>21185461 said. If he wanted money and popularity he'd sell out a long long time ago.

He'll probably just stop it. No more games. I don't see him selling it off to anyone. He'd probably pass it down to his kids.

Thing about ZUN though is that he enjoys making the games, composing, and selling them. I remember reading he gets a great deal of enjoyment from selling the games physically to fans.
