I hope so, but I don't think they've restrained OKSG from doing anything with it. As other anon pointed out, OKSG's in charge of the script and so far they've used it as a franchise to cram some unused DAA lore (Sunao being a trainee from the Church sent to investigate some DAA shit, Alcatraz, Triten being a creation of Alcatraz, etc) and cameos. Even Narbarek showed up in panel, they love to tease.

That's my main gripe with this manga, how average it is. Maybe it's the 4-koma format? StarMamo was after this and having an actual story made HibiChika more enjoyable characters.
