But I mean regarding how Oniokoshi's prologue shows him disappearing/killed for the "curse". It will make Rei's premise even more odd if that isn't happening in Hinamizawa at all.

I assumed he'd at least be around which is why Keitaro would have some remote chance of changing the events, but if he's just killed off elsewhere, the whole premise comes even dumber, even if by some miracle Keitaro will end up running into the conspiracy that's planning to get rid of him in Hinamizawa itself.
