Romance is an integral part to the story, the whole reason Keitarou even begins his entire Polaris friendship building src is because he saw inori and fell in love with her at first sight. Seeing how far he goes to befriend her and even protect her can only be compared to how much Keiichi did for Satoko. Not to mention the final arc can be translated to love exalting arc(or something like that it's been a while since I've seen the translation and don't feel like looking in the archive) so it's obvious the final chapter will have something to do with romance, and the only actual couple we see in the managa in Satoko and Kimiyoshi while the others all have nameless faceless spouses. Again I deeply implore you to think about why Kimiyoshi was killed instead of Keiichi when Rika called and warned Keiichi and why Satoko was freaking out and going insane over Keiichis and Mions death while smirking with Kimiyoshis death. For all we know the Polaris group could just be a red herrings, I don't know. My personal theory is that Tomitake clone is working for Keiichi and started visiting the angel shop to relay messages between Keiichi and Satoko, I believe Keiichi has learnt about the Tokyo group and of the L5 virus and is simply using a modified version of it to kill Kimiyoshi and his assistant to replicate the old murders. But this is just a possible theory that's a bit shaky but the one thing you can't deny is how suspicious Satoko is and the overarching theme of romance and with this final arc focusing on the parents I expect it to also carry these themes.
