I knew about RU accidentally blurting out UDK's real name during a stream, but that was about it. Thank you for the translation of that part, was about to give up on ever understanding it (or maybe there are English translations of those streams somewhere, and I'm just too lazy/stupid to find them).

So yeah, teenage girls being teenage girls, and all the autism that comes with it. I've only really seen the first, original Cookie Kiss video (there's a translated version on Youtube) in order to appreciate the MAD parodies, which don't rely on actually understanding moon so much. I liked UDK for some reason though, so all the talk about drama and her "being dead" worried me a bit.

Maybe I should try and get into the rest of the content, but I suppose I would have to actually learn moon first. These were great help, though >>18414529.

I'd probably agree that the production of fan material has slowed down considerably in recent years. Many good artists and content creators who used to obsess over 2hu have moved on to KanColle. Most of those "fans", however, are only loyal as long as the characters still manage to make their dicks hard. Not a good foundation for a healthy fan base anyway.

The Touhou franchise itself, on the other hand, is alive and well. With somewhat regular game releases (both main titles and spinoffs), book releases (AFiEU came out this spring) and 2 active comics (the 3rd one came to a close this summer), I'd say it's as active as it has ever been.

ZUN has mentioned that he'll probably keep doing this until the day he dies, regardless of whether people keep buying it or not.
