I'd like to think that Sakuya is not a Lunarian. Her being a Lunarian would not explain why she used to dislike humans, why Remi was the one that named her or why she's working at the SDM and cares for Remi so much.

I think a backstory like Sakuya being an orphan with unusual powers which distanced her from all humans and her never making any friends. Then one day Remilia "saves" her from this life by making her a part of the SDM family.
This would explain why Remilia was the one that named her, why she cares for the mistress so much, why she used to dislike humans so much and why she is so happy working in the mansion as she was never happy before being part of the SDM family.

I think this sounds better than her being a Lunarian or vampire hunter.
