People who think Touhou is owned by the fans and that they write the actual canon of the series. Fanwork is the reason it got so popular but that does not change anything. Harry Potter also isn't written by fans just because there are millions of fanfics about it.

Asking this question to the people who gather in a thread devoted to the game is pointless anyway. They wouldn't be here if they didn't like it.
