Rumia sounds simple enough to do on your own.

But like people in the thread said, you can buy complete and complex Touhou outfits on ebay or cosplay websites. They even have less popular Touhou outfits.

Sometimes I consider buying one and wearing it myself around the house.

Metric actually is taught in all high schools in the U.S, or at least, whenever they get to their first chemistry and/or physics courses, they will be taught/quizzed on metric, first thing off the bat. So there isn't some grand resistance to it really, any kid in the U.S these days -should- know metric unless he failed.

The real issue with resistance to it is a social one, rather than any kind of systematic thing. As a molecular biologist I'm already a pariah here without even needing to be a /jp/ user.. only 16% of the American populace believes in evolution (discounting the 38% that subscribe to "intelligent design" bullshit). I mention this because it most plainly underscores just how powerful religious undertones are here and how little of the population is willing to admit to faults about it... and as we all know religion very often does not get along with science, particularly biology. So, metric domination is (I suspect) subconsciously seen here as progression to a purely secular/scientific society, and thus imperial is subsequently kept because it's "all American" etc.
