Cirno.

Delusions of grandeur, difficulty understanding jokes, doesn't socialize well with her own kind, tortures animals (mainly toads), lack of realistic long-term goals, lack of regard for own safety, acts like a child despite being at least 60 years old, attacks people for no reason. I'm sure the list goes on.

Couple of quick questions.

Can someone link me to a /jp/ archive? I seemed to have lost my bookmarks...

Also, would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction for some resources on playing mahjong? I saw some stuff posted a while back (hence the archive request) but I was wondering if anyone had anything on hand that they'd like to share.

I already know how to play the game, I just have no understanding of strategy or tile efficiency. Trying to find resources in English seems rather difficult...

How do I be like you, /jp/? I speak/read/understand a decent amount of Japanese, play mahjong, play VNs, played like 2 or 3 of the Touhou games, have a cabinet full of scantly-clad anime figures, have an anime body pillow, and rarely leave my room unless out of necessity and yet every time I come over here I have no idea whats going on.

Please inform a newfag as to what some of the requirements for /jp/ are.

Both 4P and 3P were at 2:0.
The logical choice would be to start the 3P instantly.

BUMP for 2 more for 4P!

Please read 2-3 sites before playing and even then try the singleplayer games first.
Playing without knowing what you do is not only frustrating for yourself but also for your opponents, a player that left because he couldn't ron for his no Yaku hand or because someone ron'd his discard just kills the whole fun for everyone.

Usually, a game lasts around 30 minutes, so please, if you're not going to stay until the end, respect the other players and don't join a new game.

Also keep in mind that Mahjong is more a game of "not losing" than straightforward winning.
Furthermore you play with 3 other people and luck plays a big part in it, so dont expect to win more than 1 out 4 games, especially not as a beginner.

If you read some of the linked sites and still have questions feel free to ask.
