Katakana is supposed to say "this is in another language!" but... why not just use the latin alphabet? Did you know japanese keyboards are the same as anyother and that you have to type the sounds and the computer interprets that as hiragana? if I type ha I get は, for example. After that it tries to predict what kanji you wanna use. SO WHAT IS KATAKANA FOR IF THE JAPS ALREADY UNDERSTAND THE ALPHABET
