The Rukurokubi's attention snapped to the interloper, all her heads turning in unison as more needles pierced the heads of the crimson youkai. You knew danmaku as well as most of the villagers, it was a form of entertainment as much as conflict resolution, and no small part of the village enjoyed attending the Moriyan shrine's demonstrations or watching the skies when an incident occurred.

This was not like danmaku. The needles weren't fanciful and near endless flurries nor was the mood almost lighthearted one for one they struck home on a head and only due to the youkai's quick thinking the needle struck the empty air she was standing at prior. The sinister voice of the youkai that just a second ago was relishing in sadistic joy at your fear cracked as she quickly became the prey.

"H-huh!? the red and white miko?! w-wait a minute! Let me explain~!" she cried out as she tried launching out her magical beams and spawning more of her heads but Reimu didn't give her a chance accurately sniping each head not even a second before they poof into reality. Limited by the slow speed of her bullets and weakened due to her heads being taken out before they could cast anything a singular seal quickly found itself planted on the main body causing her true head to cry out as her magic waned before it could materialize.

Predator turned prey the vaguely familiar Rukurokubi cried out in fear and shouted, "i'm sorry! I won't do it again~!" as now almost powerless she flew off as fast as her enfeebled form could. You felt pity for the thing as Reimu, still silent and with a gaze that could cow a god, started to chase her but you called out to her before she truly slaughtered the small-fry youkai.

"Miss Reimu! I'm glad you found me in time again!" as if the heavy murderous intent from a moment earlier was but a lie Reimu turned her attentions to you and coughed awkwardly as she landed. "A-Anon that was you again? What in the world were you thinking being out so late! You're lucky I was... was... out on a p-patrol!" Reimu was nearly shouting as if she was getting angry, at least to you.

You felt guilty honestly and thought that her anger at you was justified, honestly you may be a thrill seeker but this was too much if it was only going to cause trouble for the miko. Even though you felt you had it in hand with charm ready to go you weren't enough of a jerk to spurn the help she most graciously gave, even if it was something akin to protecting an investment for her.

As Reimu went on about, "How a normal human like you needs to be more careful, I-I won't always be just around the corner!" you bowed a full 90 degrees which caught her off guard and made her silent as you honestly apologized, "I'm so sorry for bothering you again Miss.Reimu! I promise it won't happen another time, you won't ever have to help me again!"

Reimu gave a short surprised sound and as you continued to talk about how you promised to not leave the village again and making her 'take time out of her days and nights to bother with you' she hurriedly spoke up in a near panicked tone, "I-I get it so stop with that talk! I'm.. i'm not really mad you know..." hearing the miko vomit those words out in a hurry you looked up feeling like a guilty dog. Reimu continued a bit more calm and twirled a lock of her long hair as she spoke, "Its my duty to do this sort of thing you know! Just... next time you go out chasing some thrill take me with you!" if it wasn't so dark in the alleyway you found yourself you would've seen her face go red as a beet.
