This is sound advice.

Get a load of this Pokeman screencap. There's a lot of shit going on in just this small amount of space, more than a beginner is gonna be able to deal with. There's volitional+とする、plus fucking よう、and on top of that the main verb is a compound Stem+出す one.

Until you realize these are all separate bits and can figure that out on your own with your own knowledge, there's really no point in fighting with this because you'll only make it worse if you try.
