Winning and losing aren't important. What should matter to you is that you played so poorly that it feels like you didn't properly respect your opponent, and the possibility that they may have been offended by your doing so; at least, I used to think that was the case.

But let me tell you something: tourneyfags never EVER think "man, this guy is boring because I'm winning so much," but most of the time what they focus on is the concept that you're going to be getting better in the future, and a good chunk of that time they'll be thinking of your biggest faults to help you improve too. It's sort of a shame when they don't thanks a lot ZomB but if you stop playing just because you feel shamed, maybe fighting games aren't for you. There are always going to be players who will have an experience advantage and the only way to overcome that gap is with the willingness to learn.

Blah blah blah I just wanted an excuse to type a lot I guess.

Until I magically gain my hosting power again, apparently so. But it's alright; Tangent is bro enough to save the community single-handedly from the show we're seeing here, it seems.
It should be our duty as former players to keep these threads alive until new players show up for whatever reason, DamageDesu comes back, etc.

It's true that EFZ has a barely wide enough fanbase here to keep it afloat for at least a little while.
Hang in there, /jp/.

>be more patient with your zoning characters
Funny that you phrase it that way, because with melee characters like Johnn-- Mai I tent to be a little too patient. It is sort of goofy of me to attempt jump-ins when I know exactly what your anti-air does, though. Habit I guess.
I would like to hit up Johnn-- Mai a little more because I'd taken a liking to her and her one-button Mist Finers, plus her playstyle seems like one that would force me to pay attention, which is something I really need. Really is a pain not being able to wakeup DP without having to TK it-- not that I expect TK wakeup DP to ever work, but knowing me I'd do it out of habit anyway.
Anyway, I sort of want to make the trek to Moontube to see how the tourneyfriends do Johnn-- Mai and maybe a few others because all I've found on Youtube are a bunch of those shitty combo videos with flashy effects and blaring J-pop that don't actually explain anything. If I'm going to steal playstyles like I usually do I'd rather not do it by watching someone in practice mode. Any crazy chance you'd have some recommendations before I go?

>And wakeup special throw is just awesome.
Fix'd. I put my blood, sweat, and slightly more blood into pulling off 6321463214C in 40fps, and damnit I'd like to enjoy it.

>>Four out of ever five god damn times I get a 623.

You know, I just now realized I misread the context of that, BUT IT'S OKAY because you covered the context I was referring to later on anyway. Just thought I'd clear that up.
... That really is how often /jp/ takes wakeup DPs to the face. More like 9 out of 10, actually.
