Another anon wrote up a quick summary so I thought I'd summarise some of the lore given out throughout the first chapter
>Quinn has been a Yazata for 3 years now
>Yazata are the heroes of the Ashavan (The Good)
>Whereas Deevas are the heroes of the Drəgvant (The Evil)
>The heroes of both sides are able to read the Avesta to a greater extent than ordinary people, as such they can gain commandments
>In order to achieve victory, both sides must destroy the opposite core nucleus
>For the Ashavan, their core nucleus is the holy king and the domain which he leads, it also where the palace of the Yazata is located, the domain is also known as Wahman Yast
>For the Dragvant, their nucleus are the 7 Demon Kings
>Around 20 years ago, the number of Yazata numbered at over 1 million, however they currently number at less than 1,000 due to an attack on the holy king's domain by forge daddy, which only saw 30 survivors
>the fourth precept of the Avesta states that if complete annihilation takes too long, the vacancy in numbers will be filled, in other words successors will be born
>The Ashavan and Yazata are in a state of rebuilding and recovery
>On the side of the Dragvant, it is not uncommon for there to be infighting in where the subordinates of a Demon King may kill their liege and usurp their position, as well as infighting amongst the Demon Kings themselves
>In the 2000-year history of the Wahman Yast, there have only been 3 cases in which a Demon King was killed at the hands of a Yazata
>Aside from the usage of commandments, the Yazata also make use of the feathers of Vohu Manah, the guardian star spirit of Wahman Yast who was injured during the attack 20 years ago
>the feathers have 5 uses: Attack strengthening, Defense strengthening, Recovery strengthening, teleportation and flight
>the feathers are also the main method in which the Yazata travel across planets
The actual names for the 5 uses for the feathers are what I assume are from zoroastrianism
Defence = Kshatra
Recovery = Haoma
Teleportation = Fravard
the remaining two for attack and flight are a bit confusing since I couldn't find the actual words so take this with a grain
Attack = Psalm (?)
Flight = Sebatir (?)
