So what's the deal with that Nanami Madobe desktop pet anyway? Even on Windows 7 it is slow as FUCK, constantly taking up roughly half of my CPU power. It even makes my mouse lag at times. Is there a better version, or should I be running it in some sort of compatibility mode?

My computer is quite a powerhouse with an Intel Core 2 Duo running at 3.16 GHz, a GeForce 9800 GTX+ and 4 GB of RAM, so I don't think a couple of sprites should cause that big problems. Is it shitty code?
