You know that Nogi is like the 5th AKB(sister) group right? Management doesn't want them to fully override AKB. I think the management even knows that allegedly meme

That's why whenever there is a chance for them on becoming extra famous/being more exposed in the spotlight, they immediately cancel it (maiyan's center/ikuta center. maybe you can even add nogidoko show. maybe it's becoming famous that they decided to cancel it. i see ideas in the show that is rarely seen in akb's variety shows.)
They want to maintain this, like the anon said earlier, "you can admit you're a nogi fan but it's embarrassing to admit you're an akb fan" because once normies/disgusting wotas started getting into Nogi, they would be another Momoiri/AKB/H!P idol group.

IMHO, it might give the girls some hatred toward the management but if you looked at the group as a whole. It would probably for the best.
