Despite fighting for the rational side, Battler is fairly religious in his mindset, don't you think? He doesn't believe only because he doesn't want to believe and that's not a reasonable way to go about things.

Whenever I see Battler coming up with ridiculous stories about traps and suicides I can't help but think about all the debates between atheists and Christians I've seen.

For example, in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus predicts Peter’s denial by saying that “he would deny Him 3 times before the rooster crows” but in the Gospel of Mark he predicts that he would deny Him 3 times “before the rooster crows twice”. These are the facts stated in red but a sly apologist would deny witches that there is a contradiction anyway. After all, it all fits together perfectly if Peter denied Jesus 6 times: 3 times before the rooster crowed and 3 times before the rooster crowed twice! Checkmate, atheists!

Does anyone else notice the similarities between Battler and Beato's game and Christian apologetics or is it just me?

We play pretty much all day every thursday night into friday morning, so look forward to it. Right now though I am enjoying the initial reaction to "how can someone who is literally looking at a witch and has another witch friend deny the existence of witches despite coming back to live and talking to someone who literally used magic." It's pretty fun.
