I've heard all sorts of theories on those, I like to think that they're either hearing aids or Lunar Army badges.

They could be buttons, the thing is you can't trust any rendition of them you see besides ZUNart, and with that, they're just little flat black smudges kind of up on the sides. They look more like ticks or something than buttons here.

I don't see why people complain about ZUN's art, it's not THAT bad...
I mean, sure, there are a few things about this picture here that irk me (Noodle legs with no knees, one of her ears is IN THE MIDDLE OF HER HEAD), but it's still cute.

Why are Reisen's ears buttoned to her head?
