Not that anon, but at my high school, we weren't allowed to leave until the end of the day without permission, and only infrequently with permission. When I was a freshman, they allowed seniors to leave during lunch, but too many came back late too frequently so they stopped doing that the next year and never reinstated that policy. The funny thing is, my class was considered the last good one. A shop nearby the school had a policy of only allowing in one student from my school at a time because so many people stole from it(they layout was really shit so it would be extremely easy, but apparently people got caught). My graduating class was considered the last good class by most of the faculty, who weren't very private about this opinion. Even a lot of the student base agreed. After we graduated, a bunch of faculty left. Now, the last people I knew there have already graduated, so I have no idea what things are like, but probably very different.
