I'd appreciate it more if they acted like normal teenagers, honestly. There is this strange disconnect from what a real dialogue is supposed to be that settles whenever they start going on a rhetorical tangent, and it ends up feeling like Rhetabile or Stanislaw and everyone else involved in the conversation are just group reading from the same textbook without any particular tone or interpretation, which comes in detriment of their individuality. I cannot, for instance, distinguish between multiple of the characters when it comes to their personalities. You could switch names and sprites and it would often still feel like they're the same person, so to speak.

I hope that changes, but it doesn't feel like an intentional design choice so much as it feels like a last resort expository dump to make up for Ryukishi's questionable choice of compressing a very large story into four instead of eight chapters as used to be the case. And the political commentary ends up feeling one dimensional and shallow as a result, since politics are after all the result of a conflict of interests which is more often than not very nuanced and requires intersectional, individual analysis, which cannot be summed up by unison expository dumps. I hope it all turns out better and more fleshed out as the story progresses.
