Strange how the Satoko who got impregnated by a man also happend to cook for Rika and lived in the same house as her it's almost as if she sees Rika as nothing more then a sister lol. The moment we see a world or fragment where Satoko is with Rika officially then maybe you have a point but that has never and will never happend. Anon... you should reread the manga again but look at the club members and possible reasons for why these events are happening. I can say with complete confidence that there exist two culprits that are competing against each other. Trust me when I say the OG club members are absolutely vital to solving the mystery and the club kids will be shown as a stark contrast to their parents and it'll be up to them to solve their internal struggle with the idea of their parents and who they really are and act against them to save the village and each other. FUCK it's going to be so kino, it's going to be on par with Peak Umineko and Higurashi it's pretty much the End of Evangelion but for Higurashi and WTC as a whole
