It’s stupid to pull a realistic excuse about Higurashi when the 2nd arc about the main conflict being about love. The. you got Keiichi walking into someone’s torture dungeon after just being told they murdered all of their friends and then you got on Mion’s side her killing her entire family over a guy. Realism has been long gone from this franchise. When you come off that strong it’s a pretty big cock tease for it to have gone nowhere 20 years later.
