Depends on what you have now, and what you want to run specifically.

The following build will suffice for lighter games (not CRYSIS, will max out games like TF2) and it can handle 1080p of course;

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-core E5200
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-DS3L or Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
RAM: 2GB or 4GB Corsair/G.SKILL/Mushkin memory, with low latency timings; 4-4-4-12
GPU: Ati Radeon HD4670
PSU: Any 450W - 500W Corsair, Seasonic, or PC Power and Cooling PSU will do. Seasonic is preferred here, but it may be a bit more expensive than the others.
HD: WD6400AAKS for price:performance. The new 1.5TB drives are looking pretty good for storage.
as for the CASE, the Antec 300 and Coolermaster CM690 are nice cases.

This will cost you 500$-600$. I'm from Europe myself, so I can't be more specific on the price.
