Is there any reason why singles sales and album sales differ so greatly? Both SKE and AKB’s albums usually sell a lot less than their singles, with NMB being the only one whose albums sell a bit closer to their singles values.

Seems SKE and NMB are pretty close in singles sales now with SKE very slightly ahead but historically SKE had peaked higher and dropped a lot harder the last two years probably due to a lot of graduations.
