Its Patchy's fault for being so easy. Maybe you just wanted to share something nice with her to say thanks for always giving you a nice cool place where you can relax and read in the summer. Maybe an extra coffee cake so she can have something to eat with her tea. Then the next time you come to visit you notice her clothes are a bit tighter on her bust and hips. You're not so sure about what to do because this time you had brought a big basket of bread, enough for everyone in the mansion, you decide you must've just been imagining things so it should be fine to leave it with her. Then when you return a week later you not only notice a ripped pair of robes lying on the floor but also that Patchy is trying her very hardest to hide behind a blanket for some reason, though she isn't doing a very good job because the greater portion of her thighs are in plain sight. Have they always been this big? She'd mumble how you're late and then become even more upset when you explain you were in a rush and came empty handed.

You leave that day awkwardly while you feel a disappointed gaze follow you out the door after you promise you'll bring something good for her next time. You know it'd be best to let patchy go back to her regular diet but for whatever reason the next time you show up at the mansion you' decided to bring a big bag of meatbuns and another bag of freshly baked pastries, their scent wafting through the house making you nervous because you feel yourself being watched by eyes which seem even hungrier than normal. The entrance of the library is opened for you immediately as Patchy comes out and greets you eyeballing the bags of food you brought. Handing them to her reluctantly you notice two things the first one being she swapped her robe for a sweater that managed to cover most everything, and secondly despite this the sweater was still very clearly made for someone of a smaller size leaving her squishy but still flat stomach in plain sight.
