What does japan think about Muslims?

I've never seen any Islam in anime, are they too afraid to touch on it? I mean we see "arabic" people but no one mentions Allah or Islam. I mean they're touched upon in FMA, Gundam, FMP and many others but never directly but as darker people who live in the desert and fanatically worship something.

I know theres some Islam in japan but they never seem to touch on it in games, anime and all the weeaboo stuffs.
