To be completely honest the only edgy thing about Gengetsu is the "rape time" meme which is a fanon thing. It is hard to judge about her canon character from like 5 lines of dialogue she has, with Flan its at least a bit easier since she appears in multiple games and printworks. So people have different impressions of Genge. I have seen everything from "she is just a kid who dindu nuffin" to "she will rape you and your dog"

But I guess we found another thing that Flan and Gengetsu have in commmon: wildly varying perceptions of their personality
