Onikakushi is a great experience, but being the introductory chapter it doesn't get too deep into certain aspects of Higurashi. Other chapters go more in-depth on learning about each member of the Higu gang and how they tick. Of course, it uses the mystery around the village and the characters to its advantage, but that also means there's not too much specific to Oni that you can talk about, other than using knowledge from later arcs to understand why Keiichi, Mion, Rena, Ooishi etc. acted the way they did.
