Are you talking about Setouchi? He did Nanabi for reference. He gets a little better as the game goes on, but not much. He's actually palatable in paradox if you ask me, but not great.
With MGQ in general though, I have two mindsets with it, either you love the concept enough you see past the bad art and jerk it anyways, or you wait it out until you find a diamond in the rough from one of the better artists.
MGQ has really high highs, and some pretty low lows in terms of art.
