The happier one looked up at me when she heard my footsteps crunching in the snow. "Ah! Miss Reimu's brother!" She called, hopping up from her statue. She'd equipped a much longer and thicker looking version of her usual shirt, and a slightly threadbare scarf was wrapped around her neck. The less happy Aunn had a similar shirt on, but didn't seem to have a scarf of her own. "Did Miss Reimu leave?" I nodded and explained briefly what had happened, then asked Aunn if she could look after the Shrine until Reimu got back. "Yep! Wow, Miss Marisa and Miss Tenshi shouldn't have done that..." She shook her head and cheerfully continued. "I'll keep all intruders away until Miss Reimu comes back!" The other Aunn looked up from her sculpture at me, frowned slightly, then went back to work. Still, it was something, and I thanked Aunn profusely before heading back around the front of the Shrine to reach Reimu's rooms again.

This time, there was no need, because Yamame and Kisami were already waiting and shivering in the courtyard. Neither of them looked particularly well-suited to the weather. "D-Done?" Kisami asked me, her teeth chattering. "So cold..." She stepped over to Yamame and clung to her tightly. "Ah, it's no good...You're cold too..." She shook her head. "Are we leaving, then?" I nodded, and Yamame sighed in relief. "Good!" Kisami took to the air immediately. "C'mon, Yams, grab your human and let's go!" I sighed and spread my arms so that Yamame could lift me into the air properly, mostly because I was worried that she'd fall into a coma like she did after the Grassroots Youkai Meeting we'd gone to. Just before we left, Kisami turned back to me. "Oh, and...We'll get together for our little secret project soon, okay?" I looked over my shoulder at Yamame, who asked us what exactly we were talking about. "Sorry, Yams! Total secret! He's my assistant now, and he's helping me out! Maybe I'll return him when I'm done." She grinned, then shot off into the morning sky. Yamame and I stared after her for a moment. Yamame shook her head, muttered something about my keeping an eye out around Kisami, and then took off too.

In the air, I looked over toward the mountain. Even though I didn't know where Reimu, Marisa or Tenshi were, I could tell that something was happening over there. "I swear Ki's being even more scattered than usual lately. Maybe she's..." Yamame trailed off, her gaze following mine toward the mountain. Now I knew exactly what was happening, because I could see massive streams of danmaku and huge, almost electrical barriers in square shapes stretching across the sky above Genbu Ravine. That, I was certain, was Reimu. And attacking her, I could see a sort of rainbow effect glittering in the sky, which could only be Marisa, and large red beams of light every few moments, which I thought was likely Tenshi. "That's...Very dramatic." Yamame commented. "What did they do?"

I shrugged, then said that they had nearly blown up the planet. "Nearly blown up the - Wait, sorry...What?"

I wish there was a nearby doggie cemetery if ever that happened. Those are rather sparse.
