So, the first 5 spiders seem to work, although I stopped after 3 out of boredom. It goes evo heart, then magic heart. Neither form seems to gain any special actions. Color is the same regardless of type, and before you ask, I don't know why it looks like a scorpion girl instead of a spider.

2nd evolution is a unique sprite tinted red. Doesn't seem to be among the new monsters, anyway. The t-rex can go magic heart or machine heart. Same deal there, although it gets normal dark res for the magic heart and fire res for the machine heart. Machine heart uses the new mechanical dinosaur sprite. Both of them seem kind of disappointing since the only reason to waste hearts on those types would be to power up a Panic quest recruit, which you can't do as of this patch.

There's also a new unique armor, which I am betting is on Marka the silver bear once you find her later on in the Cradle, wherever that is.
