My impression on Miko's situation is that shes very talented and hard working but is very much the classic pop singer type and don't fit the idol or actor/model-kid mold.

She's not a try-hard though, sure she makes an effort, but between Morisen standing there yelling, laughing and spitting, the other girls scripted mugging for attention and all the staff/managers/helicopter-moms directing and gesturing behind the camera, you can visually see she's thinking "Jesus fucking christ this idol shit is fucking messed up and Tokyo ain't right in the head..." and tries to make the best of it.

But when she flips the script on that shit she's one of the funniest and most entertaining gakus (same as with Nassu), she's one of the few girls that have broken Morisen, you'll have to go back to OG Lo-Glir to find the previous instance.

Miko is like my avatar gaku, I always wtf Japan and cringe with her.
