There's an essay she wrote as a kid that's like a time-capsule to her future self. It says she has four close friends. It's assumed to be at the actor's school but pre-Perfume. I'm not sure that she was friends with A-chan until Perfume:

Before joining Perfume she was in a singing quintet that everyone was impressed with, I'm not sure the four girls in her group are the same as the four friends, considering how she "became friends with them seceretly".

When you are in the fourth grade, you tend to be a little withdrawn and shy, but when I talked to her that we were in the same grade, she shook my hand and said "Yoroshiku!! I don't recall exactly where but I think I remember in some TV interview A-chan saying Nocchi was in some sort of advanced class and that's why they had picked her, I vaguely recall her doing an imitation of her overly dramatic singing style. Someone in the previous thread said it was because their heights were close - that's the first I've heard of that.

There are many things to pick up on concerning Nocchi's melancholia but they all seem like fairly disparate things. Like it seems to me she likes just bumming around her house. The other two take advantage of their free time and manage having active lives just fine, she's certainly an introvert, but it seems like she's boring by choice.

The most major thing to latch on to is what she recently said about marriage. She liked the idea of being a young mother, but I think that was a dream she had when she was very young, and maybe she's not quite as hung up about it as it appears in text, but rather it's just occured to her that she's passed the age she had expected it to happen. At age 19 she seemed less dedicated to the thought of getting married, despite picking out an age that she would expect it:
>At about what age do you want to get married?
>Nocchi: Ideally at 25 or 26. But I don't have a strong desire to get married, and maybe I won't get married at all.
For completion's sake:

Got an example? I've never seen any. All I can think of is when they get ambushed by fans at airports, but A-chan always seems the most accomodating of the three when that happens (while Nocchi books it). Not that I think this disproves your point, I'd just be interested to see it.
