I usually understand what a sentence is about while reading, but when I look up the the English translation I noticed that I often overlook or misinterpret something.

It becomes clear where I fucked up, but I don't really seem to improve that much.
It's rather depressing, feels like I'm reading a fanfic version of what I'm reading if I fuck up all the time, but I want to learn Japanese so I don't have to read wrong translations.

Hey DJT I got a problem, I didn't read for quite some time because I barely had time to do so.
In order to fix this I planned on reading at least 1 hour everyday using a timer to make sure I don't cheat.

I did just that and noticed reading for 1 hour really isn't such a hard task while I still learn stuff and improve, it doesn't even feel like an hour to be quite honest.
Now the problem is, I noticed I spent 120min per day on fucking anki, like I mentioned I don't have much free time and this massively cuts into my reading time.

Any idea how to fix this?

I thought about capping reviews (currently around 400-500) or just doing anki for like 60min and if I didn't complete it leave the cards for the next day or something like that.
I could also do a cramming session every now and then but that would be even more time spent on anki.

I suck when it comes to anki and my retention is piss poor, reading a word 2-3 times in actual content makes me remember much easier but I think I can't drop anki completely.
