I'm watching touhou music videos rn and this looks exactly what ryukishi07 had in mind when he wrote Umineko's magic side.
Flying witches, lesbian immortals, cute demons, moon bunnies all over the place, shooting each other with magic arrows, spiderwebs, spears and metaphorical concepts.
Honestly, if he'd somehow made a bullethell shooter spin-off like that with original Umineko soundtracks it probably would've sold much better than Umineko itself.

God this just makes me realize how weird it would be to see Bern and Lambda in a vanilla relationship. Imagine if all that hardcore kink talk is just a front and they're actually super gentle and loving when they're alone together.

I love how Lambda and Bern essentially switch roles over the course of the series. Lambda starts out as the insane one who acts as the bigger bad manipulating Beato, while Bern is the more reasonable and calm one who’s mostly neutral but will occasionally lend the reader her help.

Then by the end of the series Bern turns out to be just as cruel and petty as she initially claimed to be back in Episode 1, acting as a main villain behind Erika. Lambda on the other hand becomes the more reasonable of the two, still a twisted and cruel person but someone who is always fair and even helpful at times.
