I don’t think either strongly contradicts any MGE themes. So a preference for a ‘shock and awe’ arrival of MGs? If you like an ignorant humanity on introduction, superstition, misinformation, and communication/travel gaps presumably work. Those are KC’s attempts to keep most humans deeply surprised by monsters. Imho, partial and imperfect familiarity could be just as amusing.
