So it may be structurally different from Higurashi and Umineko after all, not only in the setting but on how the story fragments will play out as well. It's a shame though, I liked those cast review moments. I wonder what will the second phase expand upon considering that shit went loose already. I hope we'll get to see if Stan's words near the end about Miyao telling them all to forget about order will get addressed.

You're in for a slight disappointment especially if you came from Umineko, who gave the reader a lot more of rules and tools to point you in the right direction if you paid attention. Apart from THAT MOMENT in Tatarigoshi, I don't think that there was anything really solid that could've helped you figuring stuff out within the question arcs, I'm afraid. You could throw one or two random guesses but you'll still be stuck in the dark without reading Higurashi Kai. You're not a brainlet at all anon, some plot points were really out of this planet.
