Rena speaking

The first handshake events following my graduation announcement took place.
Thank you to all of you who attended.
We could only exchange for a brief instant I’m glad I was able to know how you felt.
Same for Osaka special handshake event.

If i decided to move forward and depart on a new journey, there are people who aren’t yet ready to accept it.
I heard plenty of “don’t quit” or “it’s too soon” those past two days.
Your feelings really touched me.

The word “graduation” may resonate to some like the end of everything.
And it may have been true if I intended on retiring from the entertainment world.
After I graduate I probably won’t attend handshake events or lives anymore.
Almost all of you nowadays say they like to come to meet me and watch me perform.
But following the career in acting that I’m longing for, there will be many other “me” that could not be met during handshake events or lives.
If i want everyone to be able to discover those other facets of me, I have to do my best.

I’ll strive to survive in the entertainment world.
I don’t want to sound selfish by asking you to reset your feelings this second, but I wish you will support me.
Because nobody forced my hand, it was my own decision.

An even harder path is waiting ahead of me
I didn’t decide to graduate without giving it proper thoughts, and I don’t believe a second that offers will come to me on a silver plate.
I’ll be starting over, accumulating experiences one by one.

How many times will we still be able to met during handshake events?
I don’t want melancholy to win over me, so I’ll wait for all of you with a smile.
Let’s make lots of good memories.

Rena
