I remember reading something or other where Yuuka trains a kitten she gets from Eiki to be able to use strong magic somehow, and when it is killed for being a youkai cat she's really sad and down.

I can't find it on danbooru unfortunately, so I think it might have been on Dynastyscans, which I haven't used in a while.

Yuuka does seem like a cat person though, doesn't she?
I think she would appreciate the softness and laid-back attitude, since fundamentally I believe she's got a big soft spot for the truly weak and helpless.
