Since this was ignored by /a/, and only partially /a/ related I'll try this here.

Whats the verdict on light novels? We hardly get any fan translations short of Baka Tsuki's stuff, and what is published in english sells like crap. Slayers has been canceled, as well as Shakugan no Shana (only at book 2 at that). Kino no Tabi hit licensing issues and is as good as canceled. The rest are facing painfully slow releases.

As sad as I am to say, you might just have to pay for some of these.
