i think japanese history is really interesting, particularly the sengoku and taisho jidais specifically. obviously, samurai are cool, but what was especially interesting is seeing how japanese adapted western culture and made it their own during the post-war period. coincidentally, the clothing from that time is among some of my favorite, with the signature yukata and gakuran of that age being especially unique and stylish. i really enjoy the hakama and haori look
