Because they don't know the market at all. They just follow what is popular (Nekopara) for something similar.
"The client is always right" can be tricky as well. Is just finding your clients and sell them what they wanted.

So what was the point of Kath being a 零騎士 anyway? She didn't do anything to deserve it, except fail to lead a squad and have them ignore her orders and all end up dead. She does nothing with the title, literally sitting in her room playing games all day. Even after she joins with MC, he gets treated as the leader the whole time despite her outranking him. It makes no sense.
