For sure. You can even look at the manga to see the same scene depicted 3 different times, each with their varying levels of embellishment. It's clear that Yasu's perception of the scene was making it more dramatic than it actually was. It most likely wasn't as romantic as Requiem made it seem, but whether Battler said it totally jokingly like in Banquet or with a bit more genuineness like in Twilight is still up for interpretation.

Umineko as of right now has 3 separate translations in English alone. The original Witch Hunt one, the revamped Steam release one, and the one currently being done by the people at Umineko project.
