Not directed towards you personally, but Lancer's stark blue jumpsuit is probably the biggest reason why I prefer Tsukihime aesthetically.

The Tuatha de Danann were always regarded as a historical people rather than metaphysical gods, and - from a modern viewpoint - they're pretty much fantasy elves. Perhaps in the nasuverse, Cuchullain's parentage is more superhuman than outright divine?
Then again, it could be he's a special case. If you want to summon a specifically Irish legendary hero and Diarmuid is already taken, you pretty much just have Cuchullain and maybe two or three others to choose from. And since Bazette always intended to summon him, the chance she'd get him out of the minimal assortment was probably a bit higher than usual.
