As a result, I spent a lot of time worrying what to write about, and the usual warnings about youkai and descriptions of how to protect yourself from them followed as a result, but I spent some time arranging them a bit to try to provide a new youkai-centric viewpoint.I even tried picking out specific youkai and delving a bit into their personal lives, as I wanted to help create new relationships between humans and youkai.
In addition, I received a great number of requests from youkai, so what started out as a guide to help humans defend themselves from youkai became, before I knew it, a manual for youkai to help others learn about them.
In fact, a number of the youkai threat levels have been inflated somewhat in this volume. This probably isn't cause for too much concern, as humans are almost never kidnapped and eaten by youkai in today's Gensokyo.

Keyword almost. They're still somehow very capable of doing so, the physical possibility be damned.
They're doing it very rarely though, and any youkai who would try targetting Human Village or killing en masse would soon taste Fantasy Seal / Master Spark / Gray Thaumaturgy for their trouble.
I suppose they do not need to eat human meat though, or abstinence would not be an option without external sources. Look at Kogasa.

Well, Rumia isnt to bright. In the process of eating a human, you would also be taking in their blood. Perhaps shes never tried just drinking it? Or perhaps by this point shes become fond of the flesh and has no reason to change her ways. Its possible.

Perhaps shes actually a Scarlet, or perhaps shes the real descendant of Dracula and Rumilia has sealed her powers and memories so the truth never gets out!
