I think it's confirmed they tell the idols what not to do because it'd be lewd. In this scene, Takagi asks which direction to eat the sushi roll, and apparently they said towards the back wall. Then Yuka turns away too to eat her pizza and Takagi tells her she doesn't have to because it's not a sushi rolls and then Karin tells her to stop talking. Karin also said she's facing away because, at the time of recording, it was Setsubun, so it might have something to do with the holiday, but I doubt it.
