Now you realize that Chen, being a youkai cat, has outlived her parents by decades and probably had many partners to reproduce and have kittens (and she probably outlived them too).
Also you realize Chen isn't a kawaii XD cat in canon but a rebel teenager who has even attacked Ran many times before when she loses control of her Shikigami contract and tries to slave other animals to make them their Shikigami.
