I'm still kinda mind fucked about yesterday's discussion. Was the meta-game happening on top of the tales from each chapter a creating of Ange's mind while she was suicidal? Was it a creation of Ikuko-Tohya that recontextualize previous message bottles as well as their own tales? Why is everything so confusing and open ended in this VN?

Battler taking Ange to 1986 Rokkenjima to show that her family loved her reminds me a lot of one of my favorite movies, 'It's a Wonderful Life', with Clarence showing George how his life would have been if he was never born. After the journey, the protagonist has a big change of mindset that allow them to find happiness, even when nothing changed in their current situation. I wish they still made honest, sincere, emotional movies like this today.
