Unless you were spoiled to death, you don't KNOW who Beatrice is and why she's in the mansion by Episode 2. You have third hands account, characters in the game telling you 100% she was (((there))), strange and bizarre magic scenes which don't make any sense, and an overbearing blonde which assure you 150% she exists, please stop questioning it, she really exists, yes, ha-ha, stop using your brain right now. Everyone lies, Beatrice most of all. If you take lies as truth you won't be able to enjoy Umineko because it is a VN based around the idea that you have an IQ slightly higher than the average American (~85+).

Umineko is not for goats. It is for people who like to think and don't stop at the first snake oil scheme they meet. It is masterful but can go way, way, way over your head.

The second episode is especially brutal for the average goat, as it is the episode used by Beatrice to make you accept her existence. It is pure bullshit for a good reason.
